It's time for the next round of idle desting.  The list of characters
eligible for idle desting is below. If you find your name in the list or you
just want to find out more about idle desting, read the parts below the
list.

Characters whose players have not connected to them for 60 days or more are
eligible to be deleted from the game's database. This is done to keep the
game database as trim as possible because the game runs more efficiently
that way.

The "disaster of the week": Grass Fires in the Almoth Plains

Characters who are idle-dested can be considered "lost" in this disaster. If
your character needs an IC reason to have disappeared for a time, they can
come back and play that they had gotten caught in this disaster and survived
(it makes for great RP).

A number of the characters who are currently eligible to be deleted have
never been connected to, often because their players don't know how to
connect to a MUSH. Others may be people who've gotten busy, but would still
like to play in the future. If you'd like to continue playing, read over the
following for what you can do to spare your character from idle deletion:


1. You've lost or forgotten the game's address.

2. You have lost your login information.

   Just email chars@ta-veren.org and let us know. We'll get back to you.


3. You can't figure out how to login.

   Information on how to connect to Tales, including connecting through the
   Web, can be found at: http://ta-veren.org/connect.html.

   If you're still confused, mail to chars@ta-veren.org and ask for
   help. Please include the following information, it'll help us help you:

   A. Your operating system (Windows95, Macintosh, etc.)
   B. Your telnet/client software (if you know).
   C. Any error messages you get, what happens when you try and connect.


4. You've been too busy to connect for a while.

   Just login into the game for a few moments. That will reset your last
   connection and you won't have to worry about being deleted for another 60
   days.

   If you know in advance that you will be away for more than 60 days, type
   the following to set a "vacation" on your character. We check for these
   before we delete.

If your character is idle dested now, you are welcome to return to Tales at
any time! Just mail to chars@ta-veren.org to request a new character.
