A log is like making a home video of a MUSH session to preserve it and allow others to read it. Reading through the logs from Tales is one way to find out about events that have occurred on the game. Logs of out-of-character events like game meetings or command tutorials are also available.

The elite of Tar Valon gather at the White Tower to put themselves on display, eat, drink and mingle. Amyrlin Deianeira shocks the crowd a little by announcing her engagement to Lord Paelitar Vanderode.

Better Watch Out... - September 4, 2000
An eventful night at the Great Tree Inn.

The Amyrlin's Night Out - August 20, 2000
Amyrlin Deianeira and Lord Paelitar Vanderode decide to disguise their identities and slip out to the Gryfalcon Pub, where Loren and Luck have been in discussion for some time. Despite the timely intervention of Lord Igraesor, Deianeira and Pelitar are found out by an ever-increasing stream of people from the Tower, most notably Akorin and Alshaer Gaidin, who aren't at all pleased.

Accepted From Heaven - August 19, 2000
Accepted Minaka, who had fallen off a Skimming platform some weeks earlier, falls out of the sky into the Threefold Land, where she is found by some puzzled Aiel.

Princess Elyse Marries Prince Theowyn - August 19, 2000
Prince Theowyn of Andor marries Princess Elyse of Kandor on Firstday, the first day of the year 1001 New Era.

Lord Timosaen's Trial - August 16, 2000
The White Tower judges accusations of kidnapping and blackmail against Lord Timosaen Ildevwyn.

Gentling Amrik - August 12, 2000
The White Tower gentles Amrik Rinis, an event which is witnessed by some of the citizenry of Tar Valon.

Rowena and Kellian's Wedding - August 8, 2000
Rowena Sedai and Captain-General Kellian Versyr are married in the Ogier Grove in Tar Valon. The ceremony is followed by a reception at the White Tower.

What Lies Beneath - August 7, 2000
Dashel confronts Meridon regarding a certain thing, at the Inn.

Moving On Up - on or before August 6, 2000
Simple Gleeman Corr meets Aislynn, the Aes Sedai Queen of Andor, and other important personages.

The Lion Roars - July 30, 2000
The Andoran forces, supplemented by units from Kandor and Arafel, redouble their attack against the Murandians in a bid to rescue their Queen. Once it is discovered that Shadowspawn lurk within the Murandian Fortress, the forces of the Tower, who had up until this point been neutral, join the fray, and the combined force fighting on the Andoran side wins the day. The smaller strike force which had penetrated the Fortress to rescue Aislynn and the other Andoran captives is also successful.

A Prisoner's View - July 26, 2000
After the battle in northern Murandy, Athos and Merriet visit the dungeons. The result is a conversation between Merriet and one of the prisoners, Jane, which touches upon the questionable humanity of the Murandian side.

The Bull Bites The Lion - July 23, 2000
Andor and Murandy battle again in the north of Murandy. Queen Aislynn is captured after Andor is routed from the field.

The Lion Claws The Bull - July 18, 2000
Andor meets Murandy in battle in southern Andor.

Colin and Bamika's Goodbyes - July 14, 2000
Colin bids Bamika farewell before marching off to battle against Murandy.

A Declaration of War - July 11, 2000
The High Court of Andor meets to declare war on Murandy and decide the nation's war strategies.

Ringing Out - May 23, 2000
Captain-General Kellian wrests a ring away from Queen Aislynn despite her fierce attempts to protect it. The ring is believed to be responsible for the strange moods the Queen has endured of late.

Festival of Lights in Caemlyn - April 11, 2000
Andor celebrates as the year turns from 999 to 1000. It also celebrates the announcement of an engagement of marriage between Prince Theowyn Versyr and Princess Elyse Kamikatsu.

Delayed Justice - April 7, 2000
Jaelinn of House Li'Thrain, convicted of High Treason for her part in the 13th Andoran War of Succession, is apprehended at the Rose and Lion Inn, along with her companion Farai, who is charged as Darkfriend by the Children of the Light. One of the women is hanged soon after.

Midnight Reflections - March 31, 2000
Celesia and Nanton speak of many things during a night of star gazing.

Reinventing the Past - March 22, 2000
Althea and Siobhan Sedai unlock the secrets of the skimming ter'angreal discovered by the Tower some time ago.

Caenna Sedai's Murder - March 20, 2000 onwards
Caenna Sedai, on a Tower mission in Caemlyn, is found dead in an abandoned cart. House Roesone is in uproar upon learning that the hilt of the dagger protruding from her chest bears the Roesone crest. Methos participates in the murder investigation. Queen's Guardsman Cronus uses trickery to convince Duke Paedrig Roesone that Lord Daric Roesone is the murderer. Lord Daric's arrest has political consequences for House Roesone.

Harvest Dance - March 19, 2000
House Roesone hosts a Harvest Dance for the commoners of Caemlyn. A log of events later in the evening is also available.

Cherise and Lelldorin's Engagement Party - March 16, 2000
Cherise and Lelldorin of House Roesone celebrate their engagement amid family and friends. A log of the proposal is also available.

Past and Future - March 11, 2000
Cende and Prince Theowyn discuss their past and decide on the future.

Royal Visitor Receives a Royal Surprise - March 7, 2000
Prince Theowyn Versyr welcomes Queen Mother Tabitha of Shienar to Andor. Tabitha is surprised to discover her daughter, Prince Tevarra, in Andor, as well, and accused of being a thief.

Crossbow Wedding - March 5, 2000
Lord Deleamar Roesone marries the pregnant Kismet after Duke Paedrig forces the issue in a duel.

Renford Released - February 27, 2000
Renford's claim that he is King of Murandy are finally proven, and Queen Aislynn releases him from Andor's custody to return to his nation.

Dain Fire-Eyes - February 29, 2000
Alcoran discovers the hard way that Dain's a male Channeler.

Rivals and Reunions - February 26, 2000
Cende runs into Turail, and her former lover Prince Theowyn, who helps her tend to an old injury. Later that day Cende meets Theowyn's new flame, Princess Elyse.

Cende's Return - Feburary 24, 2000
Cende, once the lover of Prince Theowyn, returns to Andor, where she meets Duchess Rennar. The two have further encounters the next night.

Bearding the White Lion - February 21, 2000
The High Court of Andor meets, and is thrown into uproar when one of the guests in attendance claims to be King Renford of Murandy. Prince Theowyn and Caenna Sedai have a later discussion with King Renford.

Lawn Party - February 19, 2000
House Hune hosts a lawn party, bedazzling guests with Illuminators' nightflowers. The Aes Sedai visiting Caemlyn at the time are conspicuously absent from the guest list.

The Queen's Bounty - February 18, 2000
Queen Aislynn of Andor goes to extreme measures to try and rectify the discontentment caused by a most meagre Queen's Bounty of a few days previous.

A Black Ajah Meeting - February 17, 2000
Members of the Black Ajah meet in the bowls of the White Tower. As Oludra Sedai attempts to save her life's work, some unexpected visitors crash the party, explosively.

Reversal of Fortune - February 14, 2000
The documents naming Lord Turail as High Seat of House Roesone are discovered to be forgeries, requiring that he step down in favour of Lord Paedrig Gaidin.

Tired of waiting for a tutor to be hired, Dracnor seeks out Jovia to help him learn to read and write.

Family Reunion - February 3, 2000
Morganth is reunited with his daughter Brilanna in Caemlyn.

Kidnapped Kandori - February 2, 2000
As Prince Theowyn is greeting a represenative of the King of Kandor, it is learned that his fiance Princess Elyse of Kandor and her newly rediscovered sister have been kidnapped. Theowyn and Ian later interrogate a prisoner for information about the kidnapping. Some days later a rescue party makes an attempt to retrieve Princess Elyse.

Runaway Carriage - February 1, 2000
The young Tairen Lord Dracnor is run over by a carriage in Tar Valon and brought to the Tower for a Healing, led by Keeper Ilyara.

Sins of the Father - early February, 2000
De'Leon discovers that the Dark wishes to punish him for his father's campaign against them. Some time later he has another encounter of a similar nature.

Reunited With Rain - January 26, 2000
Dracnor is reunited with his young friend, Rain.

An Angry Arafellin - January 25, 2000
Lord Trandar Vorneyo bursts into the Great Tree Inn in Tar Valon an attacks the guardsmen of his countryman, Lord Luan, accusing them of hurting his son.

A Brotherly Captain-General - January 25, 2000
Queen Aislynn invests Kellian as the new Captain-General of Andor, and also reveals that he is in fact a Lord of House Versyr, and her own half-brother. A log of Kellian revealing this news to Prince Theowyn is also available.

On the Hunt - January 22, 2000
Duke Turail sponsers a hunt for the nobles and notables of Caemlyn. Logs of the second and third days of the hunt are also available.

The Devil's Masq - January 18, 2000
Several members of the Tar Valon community, including some notables from the White Tower, are kidnapped for an evening of 'entertainment' with the Black Suns cartel.

The Viewer, the Noble, and the Maiden - January 15, 2000
Amani spies on Luan, until a Maiden of the Spear meets up with him and Luan tries to have his guards fight her.

Demonder and Rennar Marry - Again - January 15, 2000
Although legal married in a private and spontaneous ceremony some time previous, Lord Demonder and Lady Rennar hold a public marriage ceremony to consecrate their vows more formally. The ceremony is attended by many Caemlyn notables and visitors, including Princess Elyse, several Ogier, and even some Aiel.

A group of Ogier arrive in Caemlyn, where some welcome them with ceremony, and others react in fear.

A Royal Reception - January 9, 2000
Lord Nevin of House Barydar hosts a reception in honour of the visiting Princess Elyse of Kandor. A log of events later in the evening is also available.

A Sudden Landing - January 8, 2000
Queen Aislynn and several other prominent Andorans receive an ambassador from Illian. The Queen also takes this opportunity to announce that Eglantine and her family of Eilert are being raised to the nobility, and grants Eglantine the title of Countess and lands accordingly.

A Bright Second Blessing - January 6, 2000
Would-be adventurers and onlookers gather in the Square of Tammuz to receive the Blessing of the Hunters from the King of Illian and enjoy the fruits of the Illuminators' art.

Pride Cometh Before a Fall - January 3, 2000
A tense conversation between Prince Theowyn, Rio Sedai, Kellian, Nicodemus Gaidin and Durnik results in the end of Durnik's long tenure as Captain-General of the Queen's Guard. This incident is followed by another discussion that includes Queen Aislynn herself. A few days later, Cronus tenders his resignation as a Guard over this matter.

Belling an Aiel? - January 2, 2000
Ayende LaFey's preparations for an Aiel attack on Caemlyn result in a more amusing encounter once she meets Edgtho of the Shaarad Aiel, a meeting also attended by Cronus of the Queen's Guard and a young girl named Shembra.

Return of One Dead - January 1, 2000
Prince Theowyn dicovers that Tebrya, a palace servant recently hired by Durnik, is actually the former Lady of Hune, Calisa, who had faked her own death after her disgrace.

An Aiel in the White Tower - December 29, 1999
After weeks of rumours of Aiel on the move west of the Spine of the World, Maiden of the Spear Shale drops in, literally, for a conversation with the Novice Saorla, and Roseana and Althea Sedai.

Aiel in Caemlyn - December 21, 1999
Citizens of Caemlyn are astonished to encounter Aiel in the common room of the Rose and Lion Inn.

The Hunt is Called! - December 19, 1999
Heralds from Illian arrive in Tar Valon to announce that Illian will soon hold another Blessing for prospective Hunters of the Horn.

The Impromptu Wedding of Turail and Janeva - December 3, 1999
The second spontaneous wedding in less than a year for House Roesone may have been prompted by the presence of the ta'veren, Inarin. Although the ceremony was impromptu, a marrage between Turail, newly High Seat of Roesone, and Janeva de Velichest, a member of a Domani merchant House, had long been expected.

Methraine's Missing Children - November 18 - ?, 1999
Evrina and Brilanna Methraine, young girls who are part of the family that runs the House of the Golden Goblet, go missing. A note from a young boy named Dracnor is found the same day in which he states his intention to follow after and join up with the girls. The Methraine family hires a tracker to try and find them, then sets out on a journey to Andor. Not having found them there, the family takes to the road again.

Lady Cathryn Roesone Assassinated - November 20, 1999
Just a few days after the assassination of the Murandian Queen, the High Seat of House Roesone in Andor suffers a disturbingly similar fate. A log of the discovery and initial investigation of the crime is also available.

The Red Bull Falls - November 18, 1999
Reslaric, Inarin, Edilim and Zoreva witness the brutal assassination of Queen Sydelle of Murandy, who had been visiting Andor to make petitions of Queen Aislynn. Also available is a log of events preceeding and following the assassination, which include the assassin drugging Lord Demonder Roesone, and the investigation by Inarin and the Queen's Guards after he awakens. Methos later approaches Prince Theowyn and Rio Sedai with the results of his investigation. Lord Demonder Roesone was held for some time on suspicion of being the assassin, and after his release his wife Rennar, High Seat of House Hune, considers withdrawing her House's support from Queen Aislynn.

Kael and Maudine Marry - November 18, 1999
Maudine, Mistress of the Hall of Song marries Kael, Steward to House Roesone. Logs of their preparations for the wedding and the beginning of their courtship are also available.

Terror at Tolmec - November 16, 1999
Members of the Andoran Queens Guard and the White Tower come to the aid of Tolmec, a village under attack in the Mountains of Mist.

The Festival of Roses - November 13, 1999
One of the events of the Andoran Festival of Roses is a night of revelry in costume. A log of events earlier in the evening is also available.

The Bull, The Lion and the Ta'veren - November 12, 1999
The High Court of Andor meets to hear Queen Sydelle of Murandy's petition for Andor's assistance in negotiating between Sydelle and a power-hungry noble of her land, Renford. The proceedings are briefly thrown into confusion by the presence of Inarin Donnerick, Lord Captain among the Children of the Light and believed ta'veren. Despite the interruption, Queen Aislynn of Andor agrees to assist Sydelle. Note that these events would only be IC knowledge to those present at the Council meeting or who have been told of it ICly.

The Bull and the Lion - November 11, 1999
Queen Sydelle of Murandy arrives in Andor to pay an official visit to Queen Aislynn and petition her assistance.

Questions and Questioners - November 9, 1999
The High Inquistor of the Children of the Light pays a visit to the Tar Valon inn, of all places, where he faces some hard questions from the Illuminator Viana and poses some of his own to Methos.

Ta'veren Spotting - November 8, 1999
Lady Rennar of House Hune reveals to Captain Inarin that he is ta'veren.

Dain's Interesting Conversations - November 8, 1999
Dain Na'uin and his sister Minaka, the children of a High Lord of Tear recently come to Tar Valon, pay a visit to Devrine, matriarch of the House of the Golden Goblet. Later Dain has a very interesting conversation with Ilyara Sedai of the Green Ajah.

Duels and Discoveries - October 31, 1999
Rio Sedai discovers gleewoman Rowena has more talents than the musical following a duel between Lord Caeringil and a wanderer named Taylon in the Rose and Lion Inn of Caemlyn.

An Explosive Open House at Methraine Manor - October 17, 1999
An open house at the manor of the House of the Golden Goblet is quite eventful between the cries of a male channeler being in the vicinity, an accident with an illumination, and an ominous warning for members of the Methraine family.

Patronizing the Arts - October 16, 1999
Notables of Caemlyn, including Queen Aislynn herself, attend a public art show held in the gardens of the Royal Palace.

A First, and Fishy, Blessing - October 12, 1999
An unusual rain casts a pall on the first Blessing of the Hunters for the Horn of Valere.

Offering Aid - October 10, 1999
Marith and Noamall, two of the eldest and most respected Ogier of Stedding Maotai, meet in Fal Moran to discuss offering their assistance in rebuilding the city wall, destroyed in a mudslide, and their suggestions for treating Princess Tevarra's coma.

People gather in the Square of Tammuz in Illian to celebrate the Festival of Lanterns. The celebration culminates in an unusual dance contest.

A Star Falls to Earth - October 7, 1998
Most of the world, including the Aiel Waste, was treated to a vivid and ominous lightshow as a star fell from the sky. Logs of the event in various parts of the world are available. The star travelled from the southwest to the northeast, logs are presented in that order.

Necessity is the Mother of Reinvention - September 30, 1999
The Tower Party visiting Caemlyn prepares for an uneventful trek back to Tar Valon, only to have an unexpected encounter with a contingent of the Children of the Light. The Wolfkin come to their rescue and help lead them to an important rediscovery. In response to this unwarranted attack, Queen Aislynn commands Prince Theowyn to lead a contingent of Queen's Guards to surround the Children's Andoran farm.

Stripped - September 30, 1999
Lady Calisa of House Hune was discovered to have sworn oaths to the Dark under torture, and here faces sentence. Having committed no crime she is permitted to live, but is stripped of her noble titles and associations. Also available is a log of Jhafir advising Queen Aislynn that Calisa might have sworn oaths to the Dark after her kidnapper, a Dark Inquisitor, tortured her.

Deveran and Shalayne's Marrage - September 27, 1999
Lord Deveran and Shalayne marry in the palace gardens of Caemlyn in a quiet ceremony officiated by Meeko.

Questions for a Queen - late September, 1999
The investigators of the grisly series of murders in Fal Moran come to Queen Tabitha with questions after the body of Lady Sayuri is found.

Serial Killer Strikes Again - late September, 1999
Lady Sayuri Torigawa is found dead on the grounds of the Fortress of Fal Moran, the latest victim in a series of grisly murders.

A Noble House Warmed by Hot Words - September 25, 1999
The noble House of Roesone in Andor hosts an open-house to celebrate the construction of their new manor after the old one was lost to fire. Lord Daric causes quite a stir when he speaks out against the White Tower in the presence of several members of the Tower, Queen Aislynn's own Warder, Nicodemus, and her Tower-trained brother, Theowyn. A log of events later in the evening is also available, and includes a record of an argument between Demonder Roesone and his betrothed, Lady Rennar Hune, which is followed by a spontaneous marriage between Demonder and Rennar. Having declared themselves married publicly, they are indeed married under Andoran law.

Windburn - September 22, 1999
Rio Sedai leads a link to teach the Accepted Caenna, Althea and Salia about Cloud Dancing. When the link falters, Salia steps forward to try and bring the violent storm under control, but overreaches and burns out her ability to channel. Sometime later Lady Cathryn, High Seat of House Roesone, confronts Lord Captain Commander Emrich about the accusations made against Roesone members over this incident.

Fal Moran Tourney - September 20 - 27, 1999
Shienar's bi-annual Estate Tourney features contests of skill and other entertainments. This season's Tourney was overshadowed by the work of a mad serial killer.
Opening Ceremonies
Dancing With Death - a dance is held after the opening ceremonies, following which a murder victim is discovered.
Royal Patronage - the Queen and King hobnob with attendees at the Tourney, although not all seems well between the royal couple.
Archery and Dancing - the archery contest is followed by a dance, and then later the grisly discovery of another murder victim.
Riddle Me This, Again - an earlier and a later riddle contest.
The Eventful End - The closing ceremonies for the 998 Fal Moran Crown Tourney, which included the abdication of Saagen, the coronation of his son Menel, announcements of Tourney winners, an announcement that Illian has called the Hunt for the Horn of Valere, discord amongst the royal family and their retainers, and the discovery of a murder.

The Ways to Fal Moran - September 16 - 18, 1999
Maggae Devarin escorts Magdar Jessop home to Fal Moran at the request of the Shienaran government. They are accompanied by many others from Tar Valon who wish to visit Fal Moran during the famed Shienaran Crown Tourney. They travel through the Ways, and it is an eventful journey. A log of the rest of the journey and the group's arrival in Fal Moran is also available.

The Hunt is Called! - September 16, 1999
A herald from Illian arrives in Caemlyn with the momentous news that Illian is calling the Hunt for the Horn of Valere! Another log of these events, which includes a gleeman's performance after the heralds depart, is also available.

Shadows on Sunridge Hold - September 15, 1999
The Wetlander Inarin's accusations of a Shadowrunner among the Sunridge Aiel are proved correct.

More Tensions on Treebrother Boulevard - September 9, 1999
Tempers of the nobles living on Tar Valon's Treebrother Boulevard continue to flare.

Deveran and Shalayne's Engagement Party - September 4, 1999
Deveran and Shalayne celebrate their engagement by holding a party in the arboretum in Caemlyn. Everything goes well, until Deveran upsets the bard in the middle of his performance.

Stormclouds Gather - August 30, 1999
Queen Aislynn calls an emergency meeting of nobles and other notables to discuss events surrounding happenings in the southern borders of Andor - such as Murandian notables being murdered just inside the Andoran borders, and the up and coming rise in power of Lord Renford Fiores.

Shadowy Revenge - August 27, 1999
A mysterious note draws several people to the harbour district in Tar Valon where they encounter several shadowy figures bent on revenge.

A Fish Out of Water - late August
Inarin, an officer in the Child of the Light, has travelled to the Aiel Waste with a group of peddlers. While there, he accuses Kamjolt of being a darkfriend. He also exchanges some cultural ideas and humour with Kirajonet and Bruadhin.

Tar Valon Bel Tine, 998 NE - August 22, 1999
Though the Illuminations were less spectacular than expected, the celebrants of Bel Tine in Tar Valon make their own sparks with fiery conversation. A log of Bel Tine events held during an open house at House Methraine is also available.

The Death of Wisdom - August 18, 1999
Tehannah Me'lon is forced to choose between Dark oaths and beloved friends, and pays a terrible price. A log of her final words is also available. (And also includes copies of the bulletin board posts made about these events.)

Monetary Mysteries - August 16, 1999
Lady Rennar of Hune approached Queen Aislynn about her concerns that Andoran treasury funds are being used, and other monetary mysteries.

Noble Tempers Flare - August 16, 1999
Relations between the Houses in the noble residential area of Treebrother Boulevard in Tar Valon have heated to quite a pitch recently, and Maggae Devarin's visit to the Ildevwyn manor is just one reason locals are starting to call it "Treebother Boulevard".

Trial of the Usurper - August 14, 1999
Lord Jeffrin Hune, who had tried to usurp House Hune from the control of his niece Rennar through means most foul, is called to answer for his crimes.

Disaster in the Snow - August 12, 1999
The River Band of the Tuatha'an encounters disaster during a winter visit in Shienar.

The Way To A Man's Heart - August 10, 1999
They say too many cooks spoil the broth. Prince Solon discovers that sometimes it only takes one cook to make a bad meal when his lover Maggae cooks a romantic dinner for two.

A Snipe Hunt - July 23, 1999
Maggae, Solon, Jessop, Tarthanias and several others go off on a wild chase after receiving a clue to the possible location of Cleante, who'd been missing for some time.

Storming Tiras Lorn - July 17, 1999
Aislynn, Queen of Andor, marches forth with an army of the Queen's Guard, later joined by the Children of the Light and other Andoran nobles, to take Tiras Lorn back from the usurper Jeffrin Hune. The Queen also hopes to find Rennar Hune, the true High Seat of Hune, but within the manor other events transpire that further place Rennar's life in danger. Old Tales Role-Play Logs

These are logs of role-play that occurred before November 10, 1998. Tales originally opened in January, 1995, and ran until October, 1996, when it temporarily closed to attend to some problem issues and improve itself. From October, 1996 until October, 1997, role-play continued on a temporary game, TempTales.

Please note that some players have chosen to rewrite portions of their character backgrounds for the new game. As a part of that, they may have changed or erased the events that are logged below, or changed the in-character date when they occurred.
